Mom of child with autism says Avonte Oquendo tragedy will bring change

NEW YORK (PIX11) — On Sunday, Senator Chuck Schumer proposed “Avonte’s Law,” legislation that would fund voluntary tracking devices for children with autism.

Melanie Asofsky has a son with autism who wanders. Asofsky sat down with the PIX11 Morning News to discuss the proposed law and why it took so long for action to be taken.
