NEW YORK (PIX11) — A blown tire on a truck in Gramercy Park sparked reports of an explosion Monday afternoon.

The blown tire temporarily caused confusion and a traffic jam in Gramercy.

Other local stations reported that a building on Lexington and 26th Street had to be evacuated after a package exploded in the lobby.

Officials say a rubber tire on a dolly blew, creating a loud noise and temporarily disrupting traffic in the area.

No injuries were reported and there is no criminality, FDNY officals said.
