QUEENS (PIX11) – The Queens dad suspected of butchering his wife and two young daughters appeared in court Friday, and revealed the shocking reasoning behind his alleged crimes.

Miguel Mejia-Ramos, 29, admitted to the killing and said he had planned to drive to Mexico after stabbing his wife to death in a fit of jealousy.  When asked why he decided to kill his young children, he replied that he had no car seats to put them in, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
