Commuters drop their pants for annual No Pants Subway Ride
NEW YORK (PIX11) — Thousands of subway riders stripped down for the annual No Pants Subway Ride.
The pantless subway ride started 13 years ago in 2001 and is hosted by Improv Everywhere each January.
No Pants Subway Ride has gained so much popularity that it takes place in over 25 countries across the world.
There’s only two rules — you must be “willing to take pants off on subway” and “able to keep a straight face about it.”
Seven meeting points were set up around the five boroughs as a starting point for the ride.
The event started at 3 p.m. and ended at Union Square by 4 p.m.
A large party followed after in Greenwich Village.
