Berry’s friend said he was jogging without identification in Prospect Park when he collapsed.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — The jogger who lay unidentified in the hospital for days after collapsing in Prospect Park  has died, a friend told the Daily News.

Author Rynn Berry,68, went into cardiac arrest while jogging in the park on New Year’s Eve and remained unidentified in a coma at Methodist Hospital.

His picture was widely circulated on social media and Berry’s half-brother came forward to identify him Monday.

Berry’s family said he passed away Thursday afternoon.

“It was very sad. He was breathing steadily and his heart was beating. He looked at peace,” friend Martin Rowe told the News.

Berry was popular in the vegetarian and vegan community and wrote “The Vegan Guide to New York City.” Berry could often be found selling his books in Union Square.

“I will miss his tone of voice, his wit and his humor,” Rowe said.
