NEW YORK (PIX11) — The folks on the West Side may be in for an earful.

Over the next six months, residents may possibly hear as many as four explosions a day between the hours of 9 a.m and 3:30 p.m. at the Hudson Yards construction site.

Those blasts will be part of the beginning stages of the Amtrak Gateway tunnel project.

Tests are still being done to determine if the blasting will be necessary.

The $133 million venture will allow more trains to run between Penn Station and Newark.
