HEMPSTEAD, Long Island (PIX11) – Rapper and reality star Flavor Flav was arrested for speeding Thursday morning en route to his mother’s funeral.
The former Public Enemy frontman was clocked at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone on the Meadowbrook State Parkway at 9:30 a.m. when he was pulled over, according to police.
Not only did Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, have marijuana in his Hyundai, but he was driving with 16 suspensions already on his license, according to Newsday.
Drayton, 54, now faces charges of felony, aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic violations. He was given a ticket and released so he could attend the funeral.
The rapper’s mother, Ann Drayton, died on December 31.
