NEW YORK (PIX11) — There’s a special Bikram Yoga class at a Lower East Side studio that’s raising big bucks for the Lower East Side Girls Club.

All proceeds from the Nite Sweats class, held the first Friday of every month, go to the club. Tricia Donegan, the owner of Bikram Lower East Side, says they’ve raised more than $85,000 since starting Nite Sweats in 2009.

The Girls Club aims to provide girls from ages 8 to 18 a better life via philanthropic, educational and social ventures. The money raised has helped build a brand-new 30,000-square-foot facility for the girls, which includes a planetarium, a science lab and math classes.

“Through Nite Sweats, we breed compassion and build community,”  Donegan said.
