NEW YORK (PIX11) – UPS is accused of spoiling Christmas this year after many people complained their gifts were not delivered on time.
The company is apologizing, admitting that — for the first time ever — they were unable to keep their “deliver by Christmas” promises. UPS blames a surge in e-commerce orders, as well as an ice storm in the south that hit as the shipping rush began.
The delays are hitting customers all across America.
UPS issued a statement saying they are not making deliveries on Christmas day, but they will resume service Thursday.
The company says it will honor service guarantees for air and international deliveries, which may include refunds.
