NEW YORK (PIX 11) – City students will be able to take yellow buses to school after all.
The city has found new bus companies to take over the routes run by Atlantic Express Transportation after winter break.
It was announced last week that Atlantic would shutting down on December 31st after declaring bankruptcy last month.
40,000 public and private school students would have been affected if the city did not find an alternative.
Atlantic Express had operated 1,600 of the city’s school bus routes before shutting down.
