NEW YORK (PIX11) – Skies will be variably cloudy for tomorrow. They day itself will generally be on the dry side, however as the front holds stationary north and west of the city, there could be a chance for showers mainly for areas north and west. Highs will jump into the mid 50s for the afternoon.
On Sunday highs could skyrocket into the 60s with a strong southwesterly flow. That could threaten several record highs for the day. There will be a chance for an occasional shower from time to time. Otherwise, the day will generally be cloudy with some sunny breaks.
The cold front will pass Monday however there could be some lingering showers associated with the system. Theres will be in the 50s during morning hours, but will go down through the rest of the day. Lows will eventually bottom out in the lowers 30s on Monday night.
With the warm temperatures leading up to Wednesday, there will be no White Christmas this year. That being said, it will be on the chilly side. Highs will be in the mid 30s for Christmas Eve and Day with lots of sunshine.
