Off-duty NYPD officer stabbed in the neck by own cousin: police

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) – An off-duty police officer was stabbed in the neck Friday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

Police said the 48-year-old veteran officer was stabbed in his Bushwick home, allegedly by his 64-year-old cousin.

The officer was rushed to Kings County Hospital. He was listed in critical but stable condition after surgery late Friday.

Neighbors of the family said they had never witnessed any fights between the cousins.

No charges were filed as of Friday night.
