Ten injured when taxi, NJ Transit bus collide before slamming into building

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A building in New Jersey was destroyed after a bus slammed into it Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 12:40 near the corner of Market and Washington Street in Newark.

Police say a yellow taxi collided with a New Jersey Transit Bus, injuring 10 people before the vehicles slammed into the building, causing structural damage.

Newark’s City Spokesmwoman said when the bus is removed, the building is going to collapse.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
