PASSAIC, NJ (PIX11) – An AMBER alert has been canceled after a 1-year-old boy has been found safe after police reported he was abducted by his non-custodial father in Passaic, New Jersey.

The father, Tomas A. Quiles assaulted the boy’s mom at a bus stop at 33 Passaic St. in Passaic City, NJ, and grabbed the child, Tyron Quiles, before taking off on foot. ┬áPolice say his father had also sent a text message threatening suicide.Screen Shot 2013-12-16 at 5.58.46 PM

It is unclear how or where the young child was found.
