Cops shoot man who alledegly attacked them with wooden cane

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Cops in Brooklyn shot a man after he allegedly hit a female officer across the face with a wooden cane.

Police say 27-year-old Dairon Bledsoe was using this cane to smash the hood of the officer’s patrol car as it was parked at the Myrtle Avenue “J” train station in Bushwick.

The officer and her partner chased the suspect. Cops say when they caught up to him, the suspect hit the female officer in the face with the cane, breaking it in two.

The officer’s partner then shot the suspect. He’s in stable condition while the officer is recovering from bruising, swelling and lacerations to her face.

Bledsoe has been charged with assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon, menacing and attempted criminal mischief.
