NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (PIX11) –  Snow blanketed much of New Jersey Sunday evening, but it was a quick hit.

The southern parts of the state got the most snow, while some parts of northern New Jersey just got a dusting.

Speed restrictions were in place on the Garden State parkway at 45 miles per hour. Some side roads were icy and slick.

In New Brunkswick, New Jersey people enjoyed the early December snow fall.

Especially next to a holiday display featuring life size polar bears.

Rain is expected in the overnight hours and into the morning commute.
