Department of Sanitation issues ‘snow alert’ for Sunday afternoon

NEW YORK (PIX11) — The New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a ‘snow alert’ for Sunday December 8, starting at 4 p.m.

A snow alert indicates the possibility of a snow event. In preparation, DSNY personnel have started to prepare by loading salt spreaders, attaching plows and preparing tire chains.

All winter weather information and information about the City’s response to the storm can be found by visiting the City’s Severe Weather Website or by calling 311.
