New Jersey police officers hold funeral for 10-year-old cancer victim

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (PIX 11) — Ridgewood police buried a 10-year-old boy who had been honorary police chief for a day.

Police held a full police funeral for 10-year-old Michael Feeney, who passed away Friday. Feeney had been battling a rare bone cancer for four years.

Feeney spent time with the police department planning community policing initiatives.

Officials plan to name the community policing youth ambassador program after him.
