NEW YORK (PIX11) – Commuters are already dealing with delays on the rails as the storm begins to move in.

Metro-North is currently advising riders of delays up to 60 minutes along the New Haven Line due to signal problems near South Norwalk.

LIRR riders face 10-15 minute delays on multiple lines because of “slip-slide” conditions where train wheels slide on the tracks while accelerating and stopping.  It is caused by residue from fallen leaves.

NJ Transit riders are hit with 15-25 minute delays for trains leaving from New York’s Penn Station because of a stalled train.
