New street art appears in final days of Bloomberg administration

Businesses are welcoming it in Ridgewood, Queens.

Folks in Sunnyside, Queens are resting and passing the time under the subway tracks.

The NYC Department of Transportation has made street art a priority. Community Boards are carrying projects ahead and planning for new ones.

The owners of “Cream” a new restaurant at 59-09 71st Avenue are thrilled to be located on a pedestrian plaza that is now home to decorative panels. It aws known as a busy, sometimes dangerous street just off Myrtle Avenue.

The panels will be changed to fit themes.

In Sunnyside, the art also is described as also serving as an exercise area along Queens Boulevard.
