ATV rider wanted for allegedly beating 62-year-old in Staten Island

Cops say the suspect, believed to be in his 20s, beat the 62-year-old for trying to stop him and other riders from entering the park.

TOTTENVILLE, Staten Island (PIX11) – Cops are looking for an ATV rider they say beat a 62-year-old man for trying to stop him and other riders from entering a Staten Island park.

Police say at about 3 p.m. Sunday, a gang of men on ATV bikes tried to enter a park opposite Hylan Boulevard when the victim tried to stop them from entering.

One of the men jumped off his ATV, and according to police, struck the man several times in the head and torso. The group then fled the park.

The victim was treated at Staten Island University North Hospital for broken ribs, swelling and lacerations to his face.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s.
