Man found beaten, stabbed to death in basement of Queens home

SOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) – A man was found beaten and stabbed to death inside the basement of his Queens home early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police responded to a distress call just after 5 a.m. at a home on 131st Street in South Ozone Park. When they arrived, they found a man laying dead in the basement, with severe trauma to his head and multiple stab wounds. Authorities believe he may have been hit in the head with a brick. There was no one else found inside the home.

Cops say a suspect is still on the loose.
