NEW YORK (PIX11) – After having a gorgeous day today with highs in the 60s, mother nature is reminding us tonight that its getting closer to winter. Under clear skies this evening, winds are shifting to the northwest tonight allowing temperatures to drop considerably into the lower 40s and upper 30s.

The sun will reign supreme tomorrow, but it will do little to boost up the temperatures.¬†With winds from the northwest and increasing to 15-25 mph tomorrow, high temperatures will struggle to reach 50. Add the the wind chill factor, you’ll get temperatures tomorrow feeling more like the 30s.

As high pressure moves east, the winds will ease. Despite being a sunny day, it’ll still be on the cold side with highs in the mid 40s on Wednesday.

On Thursday  winds will turn westerly allowing temperatures to become more seasonable. High temperatures will be in the lower 50s under mostly sunny skies.

The next chance of rain will occur Friday night into Saturday. Temperatures will moderate into the mid 50s before another shot of cold air arrives on Sunday.
