Staten Island Ferry makes hard landing; nobody hurt

STATEN ISLAND (PIX11) – A Staten Island-bound ferry experiencing power problems made a hard landing after turning back to Lower Manhattan.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. when engine problems forced the Guy Molinari ferry back to Whitehall St. Terminal.  No injuries or damage have been reported.

An investigation into the cause of the power failure is underway.  The ferry is docked at the Whitehall St. Terminal where any necessary repairs will be made.
