Welcome to the November weather seesaw: Cold, mild and then cold again

NEW YORK (PIX11) – This morning, the temperature in Central Park went down to 29 degrees making it the coldest day since March 22nd. Despite the sunshine, the high was only 39 degrees in the afternoon.

It’ll still be cold tonight, however, the winds won’t be as harsh. Overnight lows will be at around freezing mark. With the northwesterly breeze, it’ll feel more the mid 20s.


High pressure slides south into the Carolinas makings the winds shift more westerly. That will allow temperatures to moderate into the upper 40s  to around 50 under sunny skies.


The warming trend continues into Friday with winds winds turning southwesterly. That will allow highs to surge into mid 50s to start the weekend.
