LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) – The demolition of Queens graffiti mecca 5 Pointz in Long Island City is a go.

A federal judge has refused to grant an injunction that would stop 5 Pointz from being torn down.

Last month a lawsuit was filed by 17 graffiti artists hoping to save the street art.

After three days of hearings the judge determined he could not stop the building’s owners from redeveloping the property.

The owners are hoping to have 5 Points completely demolished by the end of December.
