NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Federal authorities are trying to determine whether a suspected serial killer was involved in the disappearance of a northern New Jersey woman.

The FBI says Israel Keyes admitted abducting a woman from an East Coast state on April 9, 2009, which was around the time Debra Feldman was last seen at her Hackensack home. Keyes also said he took the woman over multiple state lines into New York before killing and burying her upstate.

Feldman’s body has never been found, and officials believe she may be the victim Keyes told authorities about.

Keyes was found dead of an apparent suicide in an Alaska jail cell last year.

Anyone with information who knew Feldman or may have information about her activities around the time of her disappearance should call 1-800-225-5324.
