developingParamus, N.J. (PIX11) – Garden State Plaza Mall is evacuated then reopened after a bomb scare Wednesday, police confirm to PIX11.

Fire alarms began sounding at the mall just after 2 p.m., and shoppers and workers were asked to leave.

Officials determined the scare to be a false alarm and the mall was reopened.
