Tomorrow, November 9th is the fourth annual Neighborhood Toy Store Day. The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association started this “day of play” to introduce families to the great benefits of shopping at your local toy store. Participating stores will host in-store events tomorrow including face painting, arts & crafts and live performances, so it’s a perfect time to start shopping for the holidays. Tzatziki —– yogurt, garlic and cucumber dip. That goes well with any meat, fried or grilled vegetables or just plain pita bread.
Nana’s Green Salad—– Finely chopped romain lettuce, scallions dill feta cheese tossed with extra virgin olive oil and a dash of red wine vinegar .
Beeftekia—- Lean ground beef onions ,garlic, parsley, extra virgin olive oil and a touch of cumin grilled.
Spinache pie—- A combination of spinach,dill ,eggs, scallions and feta cheese sautéed and then baked in puffed pastry.
Loucoumades. —– fried dough with honey and cinnamon.
