Bloomberg fighting to keep stop-and-frisk in place for now

Bill de Blasio says stop and frisk will be history when he takes office.

But, that’s still not stopping Mayor Bloomberg from fighting to keep the policy in place for now.

The city Law Department will ask a federal appeals court to vacate the ruling from Judge Shira Sheindlin.

She found that the police department violated the rights of millions of New Yorkers.

Last week, an appeals court removed Sheindlin from the case  for ethical reasons. It did not reverse her ruling.
