New Yorker voters approve Las Vegas-style casinos initiative

There were a number of important issues being voted on at the polls Tuesday across the country.

Vegas style casino gambling in upstate New York. That will bring seven casinos and perhaps pump some much needed money into the economy there.

In New Jersey, the minimum wage will go up one dollar from $7.25 to $8.25 an hour.

In Maine, marijuana became legal.

In Colorado, weed is already legal, but now there is a 25% tax on it to support school construction.

Also in Colorado, folks in the northern part of the state want to secede. All the results are not yet in for that issue.
