NEW YORK (PIX11) – The world’s largest diamond is making a pit stop at Sotheby’s on manhattans’ Upper East Side.

This 59.6-carat dazzler is called the “Pink Star.”

The chairman of Sotheby’s jewelry division says pink diamonds are extremely rare.

And when you factor in its size at a whopping 59.9 carats, he says it’s “off the scale” in rarity. There will be an auction on November 13th in Geneva, Switzerland, where the pink star is expected to fetch more than $60 million.
