QUEENS (PIX11) – It ended with a showdown at an abandoned building in Long Island City, Queens, after two guys decided to scale a building and bring down the last Banksy piece of art.

They didn’t count on fans or the NYPD, and it ended in arrests.

It certainly has been an eventful month for Banksy, the undercover artist who swept into New York City, and has apparently now swept out, leaving his mark on walls, even on artwork.

He ended his last week in New York City with controversy.  An anonymous shopper bought a painting, and returned it to Housing Works in Gramercy with an addition.

The validity of the addition was verified by Banksy’s people. The proceeds may be going to charity in auction, but the painting with what appears to be a Nazi soldier was criticized by people in the neighborhood.

“I think it’s pretty disgusting to have a scene like that on the street,” said Tony Broh of Gramercy Park.

From Yankee Stadium to Lower Manhattan, some called his work graffiti, others called it brilliant.

On Halloween, a woman is a rubik cube out for the holiday said Banksy inspired her.

“His work will live on,” said  Tiffany Guerrero.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which

I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me.

I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
