NEW YORK (PIX11) – High pressure that was over the area today will move offshore tonight allowing clouds to increase into the overnight hours. With the cloud cover, lows will not be as cool as it was this morning.  Temperatures will be in the mid 40s for the city and in the upper 30s to lower 40s for the suburbs.

By Wednesday, a series of weak disturbances will move through the area. That will leave us with mostly cloudy skies through the bulk of the day. There is even the possibility of a stray shower but most of the day will stay on the dry side. Temperatures will climb to around 60 degrees for the day.

Now for the all important Halloween forecast. We are watching a warm front stretching all the way from Virginia to Missouri to move toward our area on Thursday. There is a chance that a few light showers could dampen trick-or-treaters in the afternoon. The threat will unfortunately persist through the Village Parade Thursday night. Fortunately the soaking rain will hold off until after the parade. Highs for the day will be in the mid 60s.
