Seven bikers arrested after dozens of 911 calls

NORTH BABYLON, N.Y. (PIX11) —  Seven motorcyclists were arrested on Sunday after dozens of 911 callers reported the bikers were driving recklessly.

The arrests took place between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Main Street in Bay Shore, on Sunrise Highway in West Islip and on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon.

Numerous tickets and summonses were given out for various vehicle and traffic violations.

Matthew Valentino, 35, of Bay Shore, charged Reckless Driving

The men arrested have been identified as; 19-year-old Samuel Morales of Brooklyn; 29-year-old Jason Coleman of Yonkers; 23-year-old Tikret Cekic of Brooklyn; 19-year-old Joel Hernandez of Brentwood; 35-year-old Thomas Palacios of Bay Shore; and 25-year-old Matthew Valentino of East Quogue.

A passenger on one of the bikes was also detained after she tried to run away from the police officers.

Thirty other people were arrested for trespassing after they gathered their bikes behind the Suffolk County Department of Social Services building.
