Fire breaks out at under-demolition Pan Am terminal at JFK

QUEENS (PIX11) – Firefighters were called to the old Pan Am terminal at John F. Kennedy Airport Monday after a fire broke out at a demolition site.

No passengers were involved in the incident, which happened on the roof  near Gate 18, according to the FDNY.

Both firefighters and Port Authority officers converged to extinguish the blaze at the Worldport terminal, which Delta, which took over the terminal,  is knocking down.

No injuries were reported.
