Young NJ mom found strangled to death with baby in room: Cops

WALDWICK, N.J (PIX11) — A neighborhood is on edge after a young mother was found strangled to death in her home with her infant son nearby.

Authorities say Mary Greff, 23, was murdered sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday. Her baby was unharmed in a bassinet near her body.


Mary Greff and her infant son just recently moved back in with her parents.

The young woman’s parents were out running errands during the day when they realized they had not heard from their daughter for sometime. Greff’s father found her on the floor of her bedroom.

Greff, who went to school in Vermont, recently moved back home with her parents.

Bergen County and Waldwick police are at investigating at the victim’s home. No suspects have been named.
