There’s no question when you see a Citi Bike you know it’s a Citi Bike.

But, is the near-ubiquitous “Citi-Bike blue” killing New York City’s aesthetic?

In a recent op-ed piece in the “New York Times” Delia Ephron wrote of her distaste for the color saying “Nobody wears this color. Nobody paints his or her apartment this color. This blue is bank blue.”


PIX11 dug a little deeper into the issue and asked the CEO of marketing and consulting firm “MSCO” and the author of “Your Marketing Sucks,” Mark Stevens, what to make of the shade.
