Elmsford, WESTCHESTER COUNTY (PIX11)– A house fire has claimed the life of a two-year-old boy in Westchester County. The fast-moving fire broke out on Saturday night just after 10 p.m. in Elmsford.
The blaze started on the second floor of a two-story home, completely destroying it as well as the roof.
Officials say the boy’s body was found on Sunday at noon in the attic of the home.
Crews made an attempt to get to the second floor and search for the victim, but it was charred.
The mother suffered second-degree burns, three other adults in the home were injured.
Fire officials are still investigating the blaze.
