BAYSIDE, N.Y. (PIX11) – Long Island Railroad customers are being asked to be extra vigilant tonight after hidden cameras were found at some stations.

The first discovery of the hidden cameras was found at the Bayside station on Tuesday. Several other cameras were found in Great Neck, Greenvale and Merillon Avenue.

The tiny camera was found on the underside of a black metal strip that was placed across the top of the ticket machine with an adhesive. The strip blended perfectly and looked like it was part of the machine. The cameras were pointed downward to take pictures of credit and debit cards and pin numbers of the ticket buyers.

Police are inspecting more than 200 ticket machines at 124 stations. No additional cameras have been found.
