An Upper West Side elementary school principal is banning those colorful rubber-band bracelets.

P.S 87’s Principal Suzan Federici says the bracelets known as “Rainbow Looms” are a distraction and cause fights on the playground.

She says the kids are playing with the bracelets without permission from their teachers.

Under her new rule, any kid caught with one of the bracelet making kits must surrender it to a teacher.
