Grades are in for New York City supermarkets are in, and, for some, they are not good.
Inspectors discovered warm meat, mouse droppings, and mysterious, stomach-churning gunk among other violations.

Associated markets got whacked with 739 violations over 5 years.

Not far behind in the dirty department was Key Food, with 668 violations.

And not to be left out was C-town, also pulling in big numbers with 447 violations over 5 years.

The disturbing report is based on information from inspectors for the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets.
