Man sexually assaults girl after saying he’ll take her to meet a celebrity

mugshotSOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man they say coaxed a 12-year-old girl into his SUV on a Queens street where he sexually assaulted her on Sunday.

At around 2:30 p.m., the suspect approached the girl on the corner of Lincoln Street and 116 Avenue in South Ozone Park. The suspect told the girl he was on his way to meet a celebrity and promised to bring her along, sources said.

Once inside the SUV, the man drove to a nearby location where he exposed himself and sexually assaulted the girl.

The victim got out of the vehicle and ran to a nearby friend’s home and called 911. She was taken to Queens General Hospital and treated for injuries and later released.

The suspect is described as a 6 foot t tall, 200-pound bearded man in his 20s. Sources say the man was driving a silver four-door SUV.
