Mom of missing teen with autism: Every second counts

Last Friday, 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo went to school, but never came home.

Surveillance video shows him leaving his school In Long Island City, Queens. Avonte is a child with autism and unable to communicate verbally.

Avonte’s mother Vanessa Fontaine and the family’s attorney David Perecman are pleading for his safe return.

She appeared on the PIX11 Morning News Friday morning.
