Cops hunt for man who stole more than $5,000 in champagne

MEATPACKING DISTRICT, Manhattan (PIX11) —On Tuesday morning, a man stole 13 bottles of champagne out of a Meatpacking District club, according to police.

The thief walked out of the swanky VIP Room at 409 West 13th Street at around 7:40 a.m. with roughly $5,000 worth of bubbly.

Cops say he stowed the bottles in a black book bag and a wheeled suitcase.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white button down and a tie.  Cops believe he is around 20 years old, 6’1″ and weighs roughly 160 lbs.
