Police investigate reports of shots fired at Princeton University

Reports of shots fired at Princeton University have police investigating Tuesday night.

According to university officials, the gunshots were reported around 7:55 p.m. in Nassau Hall.

So far no injuries have been reported, and sources tell PIX11 the shots may have been accidentally discharged by a security guard.

Nassau Hall is the only building affected, and police surrounded it with a wide perimeter after the 911 call.

The investigation is ongoing.
