Swimmer Diana Nyad is trying to pull off another monumental feat.

Right now, she’s attempting a 48-hour continuous swim in a 42-thousand gallon pool in Herald Square to help the hurricane sandy recovery effort.

She started swimming around 8:40 this morning and is still going.

Last month, the 64-year-old completed a record-breaking swim from Cuba to Florida without the protection of a shark cage.

It was her 5th attempt.
