It was 83 degrees today at Central Park — how about close to 80 again for tomorrow? Another warm day is ahead on Thursday with highs in the 70s throughout the tri-state area. Highs will stay in the 70s right into the weekend, so this last gasp of summer continues. Overnight lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

Believe it or not, over the weekend, the humidity becomes a factor, as a southwest flow strengthens by Saturday.

With a warm front approaching and coming through by the weekend, there may be a shower here and there. Highest chances are actually north and west of town for Friday and Saturday, but don’t expect much.

We’re watching a potential tropical system in the Caribbean. Computer guidance doesn’t suggest a big storm, but could be a big rainmaker as it heads to the Gulf Coast this weekend. By early next week, it may play into our weather as it combines with an approaching front. Finally, some much needed rain may come our way.
