A suite of computer guidance is split 50/50 over the storm’s effects on the tri-state area. At this point, a few showers are in the forecast for eastern Long Island, and that’s about it. There may be those extra clouds over the rest of the tri-state area, but that’s just about it.
The storm may kick up a few waves, cause some swells on the seas, and create rip currents into early next week, but a direct hit from any storm seems unlikely. The storm doesn’t seem too strong, regardless.
Highs the next few days will be in the 70s with morning lows in the 50s as we head into October.
