Machete wielding Brooklyn man charged

Police shot a man wielding machetes in Brooklyn Saturday night.

Around 10 cops were called to a home on east 46th street.

When they arrived, 49-year-old Rene Loney confronted them with multiple knives.

Police shot Loney in the arm and hip when he came toward them.

He is in stable condition in the hospital and has been charged with menacing a police officer.

The officers are involved are OK.
